Before the Map: Body as Psyche - In Person and Via Zoom

Before the map, there was the territory. This presentation proposes that the body is a primary instrument of knowing — reaching toward the unconscious before the mind intervenes, initiating active imagination in its most honest form, before it can be shaped or controlled. Grounded in somatic and creative practice, we will explore what becomes possible when we return to the territory first — and what we may be missing when we don’t. The presentation includes an experiential portion that is fully invitational — designed for both in-person and online participants.

Embodied Dreamwork & Active Imagination Workshop

Dreams speak in the language of image, sensation, and movement — long before words arrive. In this experiential evening, we'll explore two complementary doorways into the deeper psyche: embodied dreamwork, which invites the body to hold and express the living material of our dreams, and Active Imagination, C.G. Jung's practice of conscious dialogue with inner figures and images.

Rather than interpreting dreams from the outside, we'll learn to enter them — feeling where a dream lives in the body, giving it breath and gesture, and allowing the imagery to continue unfolding in waking awareness through writing or drawing. No prior experience is needed; simply bring a recent dream (or a persistent inner image) and a willingness to be curious.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal or sketchbook — art supplies will also be provided.

Stay tuned — more to be announced. If you'd like to be notified, get in touch.

I had known Stacy as a yoga teacher, but taking her in-depth dream workshops were eye-opening and helped me feel more rooted in myself, in a way I would not expect. Her approachable and intuitive guidance helps bring you into a deep state of self listening and observation, which opens doors to the subconscious in a way that feels gentle, light, and sparks curiosity. During one workshop with Stacy, our practice brought to mind images for me that I recorded as drawings on some cards I held onto. Over the next several months, the images came to life for me, as if my subconscious was preparing me for things to come! I would recommend Stacy to anyone - she is highly informed and self-aware, and holds the well-being of her student in the highest regard, with respect for all."
